Arrgh Matey!

On Monday, Declan had the awesome idea of having a Pirate Party "just because". We spent some time that afternoon coming up with ideas when I discovered Friday (today) was Talk Like a Pirate Day! What a totally cool cosmic coincidence! We checked with our friends and they were free YAY! (and totally as into it as we were!) We LOVE our friends! Just Watching TV

Staycation

Josh is on vacation this week and since we couldn't afford the beach vacation we really wanted, we're having a "staycation". So far we've mostly just hung out and done our regular thing except with Dad (library, gymnastics, dr appt., etc.), but today we went to the Dallas World Aquarium and Magic Time Machine. (Check out the slide show.) Oh yeah and an impromptu trip to the lake on the way home (no pictures of that though). All in all a super fun day. Later this week we're planning on seeing the new Star Wars movie (YAY) and riding the train (WOW). It's not the beach but pretty fun anyway!

Long Time No Blog

So it's been a while. I know. I get reminded too (thanks guys!) but I forget. About 10 minutes after I'm reminded. What can I say? I'm busy. Anyway, here's a photo update of what we've been up to. Maybe I'll blog again soon. Maybe.

Growing Up

Everyone's growing up so fast. Declan has lost his first tooth. With two other loose ones! Alistair is officially crawling AND pulling up (or at least trying) on everything he can get to. Now if only I could get Liam interested in the potty!

Pbflt

Well apparently I suck at this. It's been six weeks since my last post. Halloween has come and gone with NO pictures. (Not for lack of effort but a camera malfunction.) We haven't been doing much. No big adventures. (Except a trip to the zoo which was lovely but also no pictures. The camera got left in the car that time.) In a word ... Pbflt! Sorry.

A beginning

If I'm going to have a blog I suppose I might as well put something on it.
I can't promise I'll keep it up but I will try.
I imagine with all the fun things we have planned so far, we'll have plenty to talk about.
So here we are at the beginning of our adventures ... having mom at home full time (YAY! Finally!), UNschooling, and just being a family of FIVE.
